Kagame’s January 2020 Travels Are Scandalous Even By His Standards.

By: David Himbara

General Paul Kagame’s journeys in January 2020 are most troubling. These travels were excessive even by Kagame’s own reckless standards. Kagame’s journeys were by far more costly than usual. This was because, on some of the trips, Kagame was travelling with two executive jets — not one. The General used his two Gulfstream jets, registration numbers, 2-GJJA and EI-LSN. Here are mind-boggling details of Kagame’s journeys in January 2020.

Kagame made an unannounced trip to the US with his two executive jets.

On January 4, 2020, General Paul Kagame’s Gulfstream G650ER, registration number 2-GJJA, left Kigali, refuelling in València, Spain. It proceeded to White Plains Airport, New York, USA. On January 5, 2020, the same Gulfstream G650ER, 2-GJJA, left White Plains Airport and flew to Los Angeles, California. The aircraft flew back to White Plains Airport on January 10, 2020.

Meanwhile, 0n January 7, 2020, Kagame’s second Gulfstream 650, registration number EI-LSN, left Rwanda, refuelled at València, Spain, and continued onto Teterboro Airport, New Jersey, USA. Teterboro Airport is favoured by the flying elites because it is close to New York City. What was Kagame doing in the New York City area? Why did his second aircraft travel to Los Angeles? None of these issues are clear.

Kagame and his two executive jets left the US for Abu Dhabi via Valencia, Spain

Kagame’s Gulfstream G650, EI-LSN, flew from Teterboro Airport, on January 11, refueling at València, Spain on January 12, 2020. EI-LSN then flew to Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi, UAE on the same day. Interestingly, Kagame’s second Gulfstream, 2-GJJA, left White Plains, New York, on January 11, 2020, the same day as his Gulfstream EI-LSN, refuelling also at València on January 12, 2020. The second aircraft also continued to Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi, UAE. In other words, Kagame travelled to the US with two Gulfstream jets and returned with the two jets via Abu Dhabi. Kagame then attended the Future Sustainability Summit in Abu Dhabi on 13-14 January 2020.

Kagame returned to Rwanda for one day and proceeded to Mozambique

Kagame returned to Rwanda with both Gulfstream 2-GJJA and EI-LSN on January 14, 2020. The following day on January 15, 2020, Kagame travelled to Mozambique, returning on January 16, 2020.

Kagame was once again up in the air after his Mozambique — this time to the UK

Two days later after his return from Mozambique, on January 18, 2020, Kagame’s 2-GJJA left Kigali very early in the morning at 5:55, landing at London Luton Airport, the UK at 12:42.

Kagame’s entourage was sighted at Arsenal game, January 18, 2020.

Why did Kagame leave for the UK so early on January 18, 2020? Because he wanted to watch live football. There was a football match between his English football League club, Arsenal and Sheffield on the afternoon of January 18, 2020. Two days later, Kagame attended the UK-Africa Investment Summit on January 20, 2020.

Here is a surprise — Kagame did not attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland

From London, Kagame proceeded to Kigali on January 21, 2020 on his Gulfstream registration number 2-GJJA. He did not attend the World Economic Forum. This is unusual — Kagame is part of the Davos elite and rarely misses a session. Perhaps, Kagame will still shock us by somehow turning in Davos. It is his propaganda platform. Stay tuned.
