Below, Major General Willy Rwagasana, also known as Afande Papa Wemba or Afande Mafreshere, is the head of Criminal Kagame’s presidential division, disregards General Mubarakh Muganga, despite Muganga being the official Chief of the RDF Defence Staff. It is, in fact, Major General Willy Rwagasana who holds real power.
Born in Burundi, Major General Willy Rwagasana, from Umwega w’umukongori clan, serves as a Co-Vice President within the ruling hierarchy and will play a pivotal role in the succession battle.
The presidential division which is fully under Major General Willy Rwagasana’s command has over all control of critical military arsenals within the Rwanda Defence Force. This includes SAM weapons, like those deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo – the Chinese-made WZ551 6×6 IFV mobile SAM system, which is operated by Rwanda’s presidential guard units deployed in DR Congo.
Throughout his rise to power, he has navigated through the treachery of General James Kabarebe and the jealousy of Major General Jack Nziza. Nevertheless, he has not yet surpassed these Uganda-born “Generals” in longevity. Their ongoing presence continues to pose a significant threat to Criminal Paul Kagame’s favored confidant, Willy Rwagasana.
His significant influence and proximity to Criminal Paul Kagame have provoked the envy of James Kabarebe and Jack Nziza. Within this malevolent system, being close to Criminal Paul Kagame is a perilous endeavor, fraught with vile schemes that often result in death, through assassination, imprisonment, marginalization, or exile. From General Kayumba Nyamwasa to Colonel Tom Byabagamba, the ruthless machinations in the struggle to gain Criminal Paul Kagame’s favor have produced numerous victims.
