Ambassador Theogene Rudasingwa noted, “There is a organisation called ADF, lets talk about that, the ADF which operates in DR Congo, an Islamic organisation, currently operating in Northern Kivu. There are signs and information that Dan Munyuza and James Kabarebe have contacts with this organisation, and what shocks me to see governments looking for them (Rwanda) to go and fight against terrorism, countries in Europe including a country where I live (USA) sees them as partners in anti terrorism. Yet they knows very well about Rwanda’s involvement in supporting terrorism. If I can get information on Rwanda’s connection to ADF, what about USA that has resources. What I don’t understand, it is how they keep on ignore the evidences. But this continues to show us that Kagame’s regime is based on terrorism, since its beginning to present.”
On Tuesday, 16th November 2021, in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, three suicide bombers killed three people and sent members of parliament running for cover, in the latest wave of bombings.
The death toll including the three bombers was six, police spokesperson Fred Enanga said, including police officers.
Enanga said 33 people were being treated in hospital, including five in critical condition.
Uganda Police said intelligence indicated the Islamic State-aligned Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) were responsible.
“Our intelligence…indicates that these are domestic terror groups that are linked to ADF,” Enanga said.
The explosions three minutes apart – the first near the central police station and two very close to parliament – sent Members of parliament and office workers rushing for cover over shards of broken glass as a plume of white smoke rose above downtown Kampala.
A suicide bomber wearing a backpack detonated near the checkpoint at the police station, killing two, Enanga said. The second attack, involving two suicide bombers on motorbikes, killed one person.
Anti-terrorism police caught another potential suicide bomber and found a device at his home, Enanga said.
