The head of Burundi and Rwanda’s Military Intelligence are currently holding a security meeting at Nemba border crossing. Nemba border is located in Bugesera district, in the eastern province of Rwanda.
The meeting is being led by the Expanded Joint Verification Mechanism (EJVM), a body which was set by ICGLR to always investigate cross border insecurity among countries of Great Lakes region.
On behalf of EJVM the delegation is being led by Col Leon Malungo, Burundi’s deletion is led by the country’s military intelligence commander – Col Ernest Musaba and Rwanda’s deletion is being led by the country’s military intelligence head – Brig Gen Vincent Nyakarundi.
Point to Note: Rwanda’s head of DMI – notorious assassin Brig Gen Nyakarundi was born, raised and educated in Burundi, to him, Burundi is a home.
Initially, the Expanded Joint Verification Mechanism (EJVM) was commissioned to carry out investigations apparently using Google maps to pin point the boundaries separating the DRC and Rwanda, in an effort to determine which army is crossing over the other’s border; but it’s mandate was gradually expanded in scope to include all countries in Great Lakes region as other countries in the Great Lakes region started complaining about Rwanda’s interferences on internal matters of its neighbouring countries.
